Where is LaVeta,
Colorado?

Coming
from the North (Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo):
Take I-25 south. Turn
off at exit 52, the 1st Walsenburg exit. Go right (south) onto
US 85 (US 87). Drive 2.6 miles into Walsenburg. This will put
you on Main St. At the 2nd stop light turn right (west) onto US
160 (W. 7th St.). Drive 11.1 miles, turn left (southwest) onto
Hwy 12. Go 5 miles into La Veta. Now you are on the main street
of La Veta. Turn left (east) onto Virginia St. (there is a large
adobe Catholic church on the SE corner) and go 8 blocks to Elm
St. Spanish Peaks Alpacas is the first driveway on the right
(south) after you cross Elm St. on Virginia. You will see a brown
V-shaped house up on the hill with a light colored metal barn
closer to the road, and if the weather is nice, some alpacas and
big white dogs in the pastures.
Coming from
the South (Trinidad, New Mexico):
Take I-25 to Exit 49.
Bear left (west) onto US 85 (US 87). Drive into the center of
Walsenburg. At the stop light turn left onto US 160. Continue
as in former instructions into La Veta.
