Spanish Peaks Alpacas! We are a small alpaca farm located at the
base of the Spanish Peaks in La Veta, Colorado, an area known
for its unique, natural beauty, outdoor recreation opportunities
and fine art. We consider it an honor and a privilege to
be able to share our lives with one of the most beautiful and
endearing species of animals on earth and invite you to let us
introduce you to the magic of alpacas, the world's finest livestock
investment.
We
sell breeding stock and pet/fiber alpacas as well as alpaca fiber
and some finished products. Our foundation animals have been carefully
selected for soundness, reproductive vigor, conformation and high
fleece quality. 75% of our show-aged herd are blue ribbon winners
and or color champion/reserve color champions in fleece and/or
halter.

All
of our alpacas are American born, DNA blood typed, certified
BVD free and registered with the Alpaca Registry, Inc. They
are friendly and used to being handled. We are very conscientious
about health and nutrition and use Dynamite nutritional products,
one of the purest and most health-promoting brands available.
Our breeding goal is for fine, luxurious, lustrous fleeces
in a full range of colors, grown on correct, healthy, reproductively
vigorous stock. To this end we have incorporated some of the
most highly sought after bloodlines in North America. |
 We
stand behind our animals and pride ourselves in our integrity
and service to our customers. We provide ongoing husbandry and
farm management guidance, discounts for multiple purchases, and
6 months free boarding for any animals purchased from Spanish
Peaks Alpacas. The purchase price of a breeding female includes
a 30-day live birth guarantee and a transferable free breeding
to any of our current herdsires or junior herdsires, when these
males come of age to breed. For an additional fee, the amount
depending on the stud fee of the chosen male, you may choose a
breeding to your selection of the Genetic Options herdsires, a
group of some of Colorado's finest breeding males. This significantly
increases your stud choices and gives you the opportunity to acquire
a broad range of top genetics at a fraction of the normal stud
